TOURNAMENT INFO:

When:
Sunday, March 5 1:00-5:30 pm

Where:
Omni Comics and Cards
854 Farmington Ave.
Bristol, CT
(860) 589-3003

Cost:

$7.50

(includes 2 packs from any expansion for Pack Wars)

Pack Wars is basically this. I will collect all of the packs and at the end of the tourney divide them up among the players. Some of the packs will also be used in the trivia section as well. It will be a fun way for everyone to compete for the packs and everyone will get something.

I would like to inform all the players that, unfortunately, Omni will no longer be providing food or drinks due to our low numbers over the past several months. However, if we start getting a consistent 15-20 players per tournament again I’m positive that we would be able to convince George to bring them back during the summer and fall.

Until then, however, I would suggest to either bring $3 for when we order pizza, eat before you come, pack your own, or visit one of the many, many restaurants and food places that line Farmington Avenue

(there is quite a variety).

You can also buy drinks and snacks at Omni; prices range anywhere from $.55 (for the snacks) to

$.75 to $1.50 (for the drinks).

INCENTIVES

For every three players over 12 I will give out one extra prize.

Any player who brings a new player with them will receive a free expansion pack of cards (a new player is anyone who has never played at Omni or has not played at Omni for at least a year—

and, yes, I will know).

A 10% discount on all Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG products during the duration of the tournament if with AT LEAST 12 players.

All tournaments use Decipher's new tournament software, so we are usually done earlier than 5:30. Kids, make sure that you let your parents know that the tournaments don't usually end until about 5:30. However, the time that the tournament finishes also depends on how long it takes to finish the games. There is a phone available if you need it.

I would again like to remind everyone that the Star Wars League (held at Omni on Fridays from 5-8pm) is a great place to try out your decks for tournaments. We have about 4 or 5 FULL-TIME Young Jedi players and we want more…a lot more. Please, come and join us! The dues are a mere $.50 (used to pay for the Championship benefits) and it is a great Star Wars environment. It is also of note that we have our own Young Jedi CCG Championship belt WITH EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS! For more info, visit The League part of this page.
