The Star Wars CCG League of Omni |
Operations Outline |
1.0 GENERAL |
Each player will be given a match with another player each week. Both players play each other in two games: one with their Light Side decks, one with their dark side decks. The winner and loser of the match will determine whom that player will be playing on the next booked week. Players can find out ahead of time who they will be playing by checking the League Report each week. All matches will be announced at the beginning of the League. |
Currently, matches are scheduled on an alternating cycle—one week is booked the next is open (to allow for challenges, practice, whatever). A week consists of one Friday to the next Friday. |
1.1 DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONS |
Fleet Commander: The Fleet Commander is in charge of overseeing all League operations which include (but are not limited to) the following: |
-Coordinating with the shop or store owner on any or all goings on such as date or time changes, problems, other Leagues, etc. |
-Passing along any relevant information to all players concerning the Star Wars CCG or League (i.e. rulings from Decipher, special theme rules) |
-To approve and oversee all matches. |
The Fleet Commander is the main visual focal point both for the League and for the game. Which means that it is important for the Fleet Commander to promote and teach the game to all who are interested in a positive manner as well as to keep the League a clean, organized, and fun environment for all to enjoy. |
Lt. Fleet Commander: (Also known as the Fleet Commander's "Second-in-Command") It is the Lieutenant's job to aid the Fleet Commander in any or all of the above jobs, within reason, as the Fleet Commander sees fit as well as to pass on suggestions, |
comments or ideas. If the Fleet Commander cannot be present at a game night or other League operation, the Lieutenant assumes all of the Fleet Commander's responsibilities until he returns to his duties. |
The Lieutenant must be kept informed of all League operations and must be present with the Fleet Commander at any meetings concerning the League. |
Head Booker: The head booker is responsible for organizing all the matches and keeping track of the wins and losses each week. This information must be passed along to the Fleet Commander on a timely basis so that the Commander can post that information on the website. |
Executive Officer: This is the Fleet Commander’s aide. His responsibility is to keep an accurate attendance sheet of all members and their wins/losses each night. The win/loss information must then be passed on to the Head Booker and/or the Fleet Commander. |

2.0 LEAGUE TITLES |
Currently there are four (5) Star Wars CCG titles that can be won by any league member. |

2. CT Scrub Championship- One step below the CT Title this is the second most important title. |
3. CT Target Drone Title- This Title is retained through consistent, poor game play. |
4. CT YOUNG JEDI Championship- The highest ranked title for the Young Jedi CCG. |
5. CT Padawan Championship- This may only be won by a beginning or novice players under 12. |
2.1 THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHAMPION |
To be a champion requires determination, pride, skill, and maybe even a little luck. The best champions are fighting champions who aren’t afraid to take on a challenge and prove that they are worthy to be called a champion. For this reason a champion must volunteer/accept a challenge to defend his title at least once in a 30-day period. If the champion does not adhere to this responsibility, they will be stripped of the Title which will require a tournament for the vacant belt to commence (not including the ex-champion). |
2.2 TITLE MATCHES AND CHALLENGES |
Title matches are made in various ways. A player may challenge a current champion, become the #1 contender, or be given an opportunity by the Head Booker. The #1 Contender for the CT Title always gets the first shot before anyone else. So that means a player who makes a challenge or wants a rematch is scheduled at the next available open date after the #1 Contender’s booked match. |
So for instance, a player becomes the #1 Contender on a booked week, thus earning the right to face the Champion on the next booked week. That same night, the champion was challenged for a Title shot by another player. That player will be allowed that opportunity on the next open week after the #1 Contender gets his match. This may sound confusing, but once you see the cycle in action, everyone will get the hang of it. |
If there is more than one challenge issued, then the Title Committee immediately convenes and votes on who will get the Title shot. (The Title Committee consists of the Fleet Commander, Lieutenant, and the Head Booker.) |
If a tournament falls within a booked week, the #1 Contender may challenge the Champion to a one-game showdown at that tournament. This game would take place as the first game in the tournament. The champion has the right to decline the challenge and keep the match as scheduled on that Friday. Whatever the outcome, if another player challenged the champion on the next open week, that player is immediately moved up to play the champion that Friday with the ex-champion getting his rematch (if qualified) on the open date. |
An ex-champion is automatically guaranteed a rematch if he wins at least one game during his match. If the match occurred at a tournament then the ex-champion must no have lost by more than twenty (20) cards to qualify. The rematch must take place within the next three open weeks or the ex-champion loses his rematch right. |

2.3 TARGET DRONE TITLE |
The Target Drone Title is a unique Title that does not fall under the rules of the other Titles. This Title is specifically made NOT to be kept by the holder. The current Title holder may make a challenge, BEFORE that night’s matches are announced or any other challenges are made, to ANY player present that night for the next open week. If the Target Drone player challenges any current champion and they remain so for the next week, that match cannot be a Title match. |
The challenged player cannot refuse the challenge and MUST play the Target Drone Title holder at the next open week. |
